On January 19, 2022, the City of Litchfield Park adopted Ordinance  No. 21-254 , listed under City Code Chapter 8 - Business Regulations, amended to include Article 8-8 - Short-Term Vacation Rentals. This is in reference to properties that have been listed as vacation/short-term rentals on online lodging marketplaces (Air BnB, VRBO, etc.).

City Code now states that registration for these properties are to be filed with the City. Completed registration forms can be emailed to CodeEnforcement@litchfieldpark.gov, mailed in or brought to City Hall during regular business hours. 

Once registration has been received, no further action is required. However, any changes to the information listed on the form will need to be reported and refiled within 10 days. Please note this does not include properties that have residential leases with a lease term of 31 days or longer. Please review prohibited uses of the property, violations, and penalties.
