60 Day Notice of Intent

The City of Litchfield Park is proposing new fees for Short-Term Rental (STR) Licenses associated with the proposed Short-Term Vacation Rental Ordinance (Litchfield Park City Code Chapter 8-Business Regulations) that will be considered by the City Council on April 19, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Litchfield Park Community Library Room during the regularly schedule Council meeting.  If approved by the City Council, the fees and charges will go into effect July 1, 2023.  

The proposed ordinance will require short-term vacation rentals to acquire a permit, establishes regulations, adopts notification and disclosure requirements, adopts insurance requirements and adopts application fees.  

We currently have 39 short-term vacation rentals registered with the City.  The proposed annual permit fee is $250.00.  We estimate the annual revenue will be $9,750, but it is dependent upon the number of actual short-term vacation rentals within the City boundaries.  The fee is necessary to support the administration of the permit and the required annual compliance inspections.
