How to Reach Downtown Businesses During Construction

The City of Litchfield Park’s Old Litchfield Road storm drain project is moving ahead quickly. Sometime during the week of April 10, the City’s contractor for the project, Achen-Gardner, will be reopening northbound Old Litchfield Road to traffic from Wigwam Boulevard. One small work area will remain in place to allow a manhole to be completed, with traffic diverted around it to allow drivers to continue northbound on Old Litchfield Road. In addition, a few of the parking spaces will remain closed to accommodate this traffic shift, but the remainder of the parking spaces will be reopened for use.

Around that same time, the contractor will move north in Old Litchfield Road to begin trenching for pipeline installation in the northbound lane from Honeysuckle Street north to the median opening in front of the Church at Litchfield Park. To accommodate this work, Old Litchfield Road will remain open for travel for north and southbound traffic, with northbound traffic shifted to the west half of the road from Honeysuckle street to just south of Fairway Drive. The work in this segment is expected to take about four weeks to complete.

Thank you for your continued patience during this important project.
