Yes, the City issues fishing licenses for residents and non-residents
who want to fish in the City’s Tierra Verde Lake Park lake.

2. Do I need a fishing license to fish in the lake at Tierra verde Lake Park?

Yes. Children ages 12 and older and adults are required to purchase a
fishing permit to fish in the lake. Residents who live in Litchfield Park are charged $1 per year; non-resident fees are $5 per day or $20 per year.
All annual permits expire one year from date of issuance.

Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a person with a current
fishing permit.

Request your fishing permit during the Litchfield Park Recreation Center’s business hours. The lobby is open seven days a week. Call 623-935-9040 for office hours. Bring a valid driver’s license at the time of purchase.

5. Are there limits to the number of fish I can catch?

Yes, a limit of six (6) fish per day is permitted for bass and/or catfish;
however, no more than four (4) of one species is allowed.

6. Can I use a couple of poles at one time to catch fish?

No. Fishing is restricted to one line per person and no more than one hook per line. Barbed hooks are prohibited. Straight hooks only are permitted.
